Hard Water in Brooksville Maine. Recently Mainely Water was contacted to install a water softener for a home in Brooksville. The owners had lived with the hard water from their private well for about 10 years. “That’s long enough”, he said. “We should have done this a long time ago”. We Agree ! Chuck, You installed a water softner for us a few months ago. We love it but just wanted to ensure that we are adding the correct salt amount. Can you tell me the range that you recommend the salt level be? I know the guy that installed it for us told me this but I did not write it down. Also, he did a great job and had wonderful customer service.
